Thanks for coming back to take a look.

Last time you were here, our wedding was still a notion and a whole lot of advanced planning to us. To you, it may have been wrapped up in finding the cheapest airfare and booking hotel rooms -- and trying to figure out exactly what we meant by "smart casual."

And, then the weekend arrived and, for us, a door opened to the rest of our lives. Not a door we even knew was there, a door that appeared as we stood before you, and with you, in the embrace of an aging walnut tree.

Some days, we are still looking for the light switches in here. Other days, it is like we have dwelled here for a long, long time.

For those of you who made it out to Relais du Soleil, thank you. You are forever a part of our families and communities growing together. For those of you who could not join us, this website is our attempt to give you some glimpses inside. We haven't figured out how to bottle the joy, but maybe some of the photos will bring a smile to your face as well.

We are so grateful for all of the beautiful gifts - more formal words of thanks coming to a mailbox near you in the new year.

When we wrote our vows we had no idea how much they would help us navigate being married and connect to what is essential when the stuff of life intervenes. And oh,does it ever. Many of you let us know that you felt like they might help you navigate your marriages and relationships too. Or you just liked them. So here you go. They are re-printed on the Vows page.

Update Three: December 7, 2007
A number of you also asked for a copy of the Seven Blessings, which we penned to be shared by our family and friends. They are posted up on the page of the same name.

We exercised creative license in our translation of the seven blessings (the original language and a straight ahead translation can be found here) Our interpretation was based on the writing of Anita Diamant, but there are many alternate versions out there.

One thing missing are the messages from you. Far to few of you had a chance to sign the guestbook we put out that night, so we'd love to hear from you.
